LC stainless steel roots pump is a rotary variable volume vacuum pump, which is evolved from roots blower. According to the different working range of Roots vacuum pump, it is divided into low vacuum roots pump with direct discharge to the atmosphere; Medium vacuum roots pump (also known as mechanical booster pump) and high vacuum multistage roots pump.
The rotor of LC stainless steel roots pump is meshed with each other in the pump body, but there is a certain clearance. The gap size mainly depends on the viscosity of the conveyed medium. If the viscosity exceeds a certain range, the clearance must be adjusted and increased.
LC stainless steel roots pump has the following characteristics:
There is a large pumping speed in a wide pressure range;
Start quickly and work immediately;
Insensitive to dust and water vapor contained in the extracted gas;
The rotor does not need lubrication and there is no oil in the pump chamber;
The vibration is small, the rotor dynamic balance condition is good, and there is no exhaust valve;
Small driving power and mechanical friction loss;
Compact structure and small floor area;
Low operation and maintenance costs.
Therefore, roots pump is widely used in metallurgy, petrochemical industry, papermaking, food and electronic industry.
Working principle of LC stainless steel roots pump:
In the pump cavity, two "8" shaped rotors are installed on a pair of parallel shafts perpendicular to each other, and a pair of gear belts with transmission ratio of 1 act to reverse each other's synchronous rotation. There is a certain clearance between the rotors and between the rotor and the inner wall of the pump casing, which can realize high-speed operation. As roots pump is a vacuum pump without internal compression, the compression is usually low, so the high and medium vacuum pumps need a front stage pump. The ultimate vacuum of roots pump depends not only on the structure and manufacturing accuracy of the pump itself, but also on the ultimate vacuum of the front stage pump. In order to improve the extreme vacuum of the pump, roots pumps can be used in series.
