Mechanical seal

High temperature resistant mechanical seal is a shaft seal device of rotating machinery. Such as centrifugal pump, centrifuge, reactor, compressor and other equipment. Since the transmission shaft runs through the inside and outside of the equipment, there is a circumferential gap between the shaft and the equipment, and the medium in the equipment leaks outward through the gap. If the pressure in the equipment is lower than the atmospheric pressure, the air leaks into the equipment. Therefore, there must be a shaft package to prevent leakage. There are many kinds of shaft seals. Because mechanical seals have the advantages of less leakage and long service life, mechanical seals are the most important shaft seals in these equipment in the world.

Precautions for installing high temperature resistant mechanical seal:

1. Pay great attention to avoid installation deviation during installation.

(1) The gland shall be tightened after the alignment of the coupling. The bolts shall be evenly supported to prevent the end face of the gland from deflection. Check all points with a feeler gauge, and the error shall not be greater than 0.05 mm.

(2) Check the fit clearance (i.e. concentricity) between the gland and the outer diameter of the shaft or shaft sleeve. The circumference shall be uniform. Use a feeler gauge to check that the tolerance of each point is not greater than 0.01mm.

2. The spring compression shall be carried out according to the regulations. It is not allowed to be too large or too small. The error is required to be 2.00mm. Excessive assembly will increase the specific pressure of the end face and accelerate the wear of the end face. Too small will cause insufficient specific pressure and can not play a sealing role.

3. After the moving ring is installed, the moving ring shall automatically spring back after pressing it against the spring.
